Fudjàh

By on 10 Mar ’12

The six Fudjàhs are power objects associated with the Hexades.

The Fudjàhs were thought to be powerful artifacts; but contrary to common belief, even if the artifacts had indeed some special configuration and effects, they weren’t powerful in themselves, but only in association to the proper being wielding them.

It is probable that other and lesser versions and variations existed, but only the few listed below are known to have lasted.

Another common misconstruction is that there were only a unique copy of each. It is for instance well documented among the Turmaki that there were for instance many versions of the “key of Ghört”, even if the one usually referred to was that of the Jokan of that name. Similarly, the Unguent of Nærvel is more a recipe of a blend of special biological compounds than it is an actual unguent.

Cup of Margilonia

By on 16 May ’09

The Cup of Margilonia is one of the six Fudjàhs. It is associated with Marduë, the fifth day of the hexade.

Material=Gulim
Created by=Léonard
Created for=Sandarin
Last known location=Duane
Last known owner=Franiel
Function=transmutation/healing powers

  • Type: Cup
  • Myth: Associated with the Guardian Sandarin.
  • Inside the story: The cup of Margilonia was likely crafted by Léonard or one of his focuses. As the legend goes, it was a gift to the Goddess Margilonia by the race of the Uglings on the Duane. Margilonia (Sandarin) imbued it with mystical powers as a reward. It was found for a while on mount El’okram, where a temple was built to honor the ancient goddess. Franiel, a young monk, starts to rediscover its transmutation/healing powers as the story unfolds. The cup is also said to be faithful to its owner, and unless he/she relinquishes the ownership to another person, the cup remains with him/her (being able to disappear and reappear at certain points), making it practically impossible to be stolen.
  • It is said that Sandurin asked Léonard that it’d be made specifically of a metal called gulim by the Guardians which has electro-magnetic characteristics responding to the owner’s energy. The stones that had been set in the metal were programmed.
  • It is not clear if the scarabis symbol is a connection with Asaris or if it had been added as a decoration by the artist.

Material=sunstone
Created for=Nareena
Last known owner=Phoebe Chesterhope

  • Type: Sunstone
  • Myth: This sunstone was used by Nareena, one of the 12 Jokans during the phasing of the Phreal slightly off the dimension. Its origin became lost as the people of the Duane forgot about the nature of the Guardians and created legends of gods around their civilization.
  • Inside the story: It is said that the owner of this sunstone would be granted tremendous power upon physical manifestations. The power of the stone is not inherent to its nature as a sunstone but is a byproduct of the use that Nareena made of it. Phœbe Chesterhope once tried to steal it with the help of Georges (The Dandy) and Pavel (The Russian Monk) in Paris. When Georges took it the first time, the stone’s vibration influenced his remembrance of different knowledge which gradually led him to meet Salome first and then Leonard.
